In hospital
Network hospital (long-stay) and day-network hospital for day procedures, paid at 100% scheme rate; 30% co-payment for using a non-network long-stay hospital, R5,440 penalty for non-network day hospital. Procedure-specific co-payments (R2,020–R9,500) for scopes/laparoscopic procedures unless it's a PMB via a designated service provider.
Day-to-day
R4,848/year main member MSA (R3,636 adult, R1,632 child), plus a Benefit Booster of up to R1,140/family (unlocked after a wellness screening + mental health assessment)

Maternity
No dedicated maternity/childbirth benefit line in the official 2026 brochure (unlike BonCore, BonCap and Hospital Standard, which do have one) — covered under the standard PMB/in-hospital benefit only.
Dental
2 consultations/person, 2 scale-and-polish/person, fissure sealants and fluoride for under-16s, 1 set of plastic dentures per person every 4 years covered directly by the scheme; specialised/orthodontic dentistry funded from day-to-day savings; in-hospital dental surgery is PMB-only.
Optical
Funded from the day-to-day savings account.
Mental health
In and out-of-hospital consultations included in the mental health hospitalisation benefit; hospitalisation limited to R19,060 per family; avoid a 30% co-payment by using a network hospital.
PMBs (prescribed minimum benefits)
Full PMB cover (legally required)
Emergencies
2 emergency room visits per family for children under 6, paid by Bonitas; other emergencies PMB-covered.
Gap cover
Yes — meaningful co-payments (R2,020–R9,500) on common scopes/day procedures and a 30% penalty for non-network hospital use
